영어회화 9. Story of blind dates (3. 소개팅, 그 후가 궁금하다!)

1. Mike: So, what do you think of Ted?

Soomi: Well, he seems nice, but he's not my type.

Mike: Why not?

Soomi: He's sort of uh... too talkative, I think. And also he doesn't look like he's interested in me at all.

Mike: Are you kidding? That man is madly in love with you. All he ever talks about is you ever since the day he laid his eyes on you.

마이크: 테드 어때?

수미: 글쎄, 착해 보이긴 하는데, 내 취향은 아냐.

마이크: 왜?

수미: 내가 보기엔 좀... 너무 말이 많은 것 같애. 그리고 나한테 전혀 관심도 없어 보이던데 뭐.

마이크: 무슨 소리야? 걔 완전 너한테 빠졌던데. 널 본 뒤로 맨날 네 얘기만 해.

 

2. Derek: So, how was the date with Bob?

Sarah: Don't even bring it up. I mean, what's with that guy?

Derek: Why? What happened?

Sarah: He kept staring at my... I don't even want to say it. That guy's a total pervert.

데릭: 그래, 밥하고 데이트 어땠어?

사라: 그 얘긴 꺼내지도 마. 대체 걔 왜 그러니?

데릭: 왜? 무슨 일이 있었길래?

사라: 계속 내 몸의 한 곳만 응시하는데... 얘기도 하고 싶지 않다. 걔 완전 변태야.

 

3. Mike: Did you have fun last night?

Soomi: Yeah, he was so nice and well-mannered.

Mike: See, what did I tell you? He's a stud.

Soomi: It looks like you have so many good friends, maybe we should do this again.

Mike: You mean, you want me to hook you up with another guy?

Soomi: Yeah, why not? As the saying goes, the more, the better.

마이크: 어젯 밤 재밌었어?

수미: 응, 걔 아주 착하고 매너도 좋던데?

마이크: 거 봐, 내가 뭐랬어? 걔 멋진 남자라니까.

수미: 너 좋은 친구들 많은 것 같은데, 우리 이거 또 한번 하자.

마이크: 뭐야, 다른 애랑 또 소개팅 시켜달라고?

수미: 안 될 거 없지. 옛말에 이르기를, 많으면 많을수록 좋다고 하잖아.
