1. Soomi: So, you're gonna set me up with someone?

Jane: Yes, you know, this guy who's in my Physics class is like, so cool.

Soomi: Is he really cool? And good-looking?

Jane: Yes, believe me, he is all that. You won't be disappointed.

Soomi: Cool and handsome. Hmm, he's not gay by any chance, is he?

Jane: No, absolutely not

수미: 소개팅을 시켜 준다고?

제인: 그래, 물리 수업 같이 듣는 앤데, 진짜 멋져.

수미: 진짜 멋져? 얼굴도 잘생겼어?

제인: 그래, 진짜 다 갖췄다니까. 실망 안 할 거야.

수미: 멋지고 잘생겼다. 흠, 혹시 걔 게이 아냐?

제인: 절대 아냐.

 

2. Mike: Are you psyched up about tonight?

Soomi: You mean the blind date thing?

Mike: Yeah, aren't you excited?

Soomi: Well, I kind of think that it might be better if we can all get together and hang out together.

Mike: Oh, come one, don't be a chicken. It'll be fun.

마이크: 오늘 밤 생각에 들떠 있니?

수미: 그 소개팅 얘기니?

마이크: 그래, 기대되지 않아?

수미: 글쎄, 나는 그냥 모두 모여서 다 같이 놀았으면 좋겠는데.

마이크: 야, 왜 이래. 겁먹지 마. 재미있을 거야.

 

3. Derek: How about you set me up with one of your cutie friends?

Soomi: My cutie friends? You're asking the wrong person. All of my friends are ugly like me.

Besides, I hate setting people up. They always blame me for what happens in their relationships.

데릭: 너 귀여운 친구들 많던데, 나하고 좀 엮어 주라?

수미: 내 귀여운 친구들? 너 사람 잘못 골랐어. 내 친구들은 다 나같이 못생겼어. 

게다가, 난 소개팅 시켜 주는거 되게 싫어해. 꼭 잘 안되면 둘 사이의 일을 가지고 나한테 뭐라고 하거든.

 

4. Mike: Why do you hate going on blind dates so much?

Soomi: I don't know. It's just that I had this bad experience once.

Mike: Yeah? Maybe this time you'll meet a really good guy. It'll give you a chance to move past that bad experience.

마이크: 넌 왜 그렇게 소개팅 하는 걸 싫어해?

수미: 몰라. 사실은 내가 예전에 안 좋은 경험이 있었거든.

마이크: 그래? 어쩌면 이번엔 정말로 괜찮은 애 만나게 될지도 모르잖아. 그러면 그 나쁜 경험을 잊을 수도 있을 테고 말이야.

 

5. Mike: Ted, would you care to meet a girl?

I know this one girl who just came to the States last month.

Ted: Yeah? Sounds like a plan. Is she nice?

Mike: Yes, she is. She's very nice.

Ted: Is she by any chance funny, too? 'Cause I like a girl with a sense of humor.

Mike: Yeah, actually she is very funny, too.

Ted: Great.

마이크: 테드, 여자애 한번 만나 볼래? 지난달에 미국으로 온 여자애 하나를 알거든.

테드: 그래? 좋지, 걔 착하니?

마이크: 그럼. 아주 착하지.

테드: 혹시 재미도 있어? 왜냐하면 난 유머감각 있는 여자가 좋거든.

테드: 좋아.
